Seven Natural Wonders of the World

*Grand Canyon, Arizona(USA):-
Grand Canyon is contained within the Grand Canyon National Park (one of the first national parks in United States).It is a steep-sided canyon carved by the Colorado river in the state of Arizona.The Grand Canyon is 277 miles (446 km) long, up to 18 miles (29 km) wide and attains a depth of over a mile (1.83 km) .In Grand Canyon National Park, approximately 1,737 known species of vascular plants, 167 species of fungi, 64 species of moss and 195 species of lichen are found.

*Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis), Fairbanks(Alaska):-
An Aurora is a natural light that display in the sky particularly in polar regions and caused by the collision of charged particles directed by the Earth's magnetic field.It is usually observed at night and is also called collectively as Polar Lights.The chance of visibility of the aurora borealis increases with proximity to the North Magnetic Pole.

*Victoria Falls:-
The Victoria Falls waterfall is located in Sothern Africa on Zambezi River between countries Zambia and Zimbabwe and are considered as the largest falls in the world.The waterfall has the width of 1,708 metres (5,604 ft) and height of 108 metres (354 ft) with an Average flow rate of 1088 m³/s (38,430 cu ft/s)forms the largest sheet of falling water in the world.


*Great Barrier Reef, Queensland (Australia):-

The Great Barrier Reef is the world's largest reef system and comprises of over 2,900 individual reefs,900 islands stretching for over 2,600 kilometres (1,600 mi) over an area of approximately 344,400 square kilometres (133,000 sq mi).The reef is located in the Coral sea, off the coast of Queensland in north-east Australia.


*Paricutin volcano (Mexico):-
Parícutin is a cinder cone volcano in the Mexican state of Michoacan, close to a lava-covered village of the same name.Paricutin is part of the Michoacan-Guanajuato Volcanic Field, which covers much of west central Mexico.Parícutin is merely the youngest of more than 1,400 volcanic vents that exist in the Trans-Mexican Volcanic belt and North America. The volcano is unique in the fact that its formation was witnessed from its very inception.


*Harbour of Rio de Janeiro:-
The Harbor of Rio de Janeiro is located in Brazil and was created by erosion from the Atlantic Ocean and is also known as Guanabara Bay. The Harbour is surrounded by gorgeous granite monolith mountains that include the famous Sugar Loaf Mountain at 1,296 feet (395 m), Corcovado Peak at 2,310 feet (704 m), and the hills of Tijuca at 3,350 feet (1021 m).

*Mount Everest:-
Mount Everest is the world's highest mountain above the mean sea level at 8,848 metres (29,029 ft). It is located in the Himalayas on the Nepal (Sagarmatha Zone)-China(Tibet) border.
